A circular economy redefines growth, creation and success.
Our current society is largely comprised of the "take, make, and throw away" model. But where is away? And what finite resources were used to develop the products? And what environmental impacts have happened as a result and will continue to occur? And could the product have had a longer life cycle, thus saving money long-term?
A circular economy is one that is focused on positive society-wide benefits and triple bottom line - or, people, planet, profit. It designs waste out of the system by thinking outside of the box.
Because solutions don't fit in a box.
Incineration and landfill should ultimately be last resort measures.
